Located in eastern El Salvador, Espíritu de la Montaña is a highland viewpoint overlooking the coastal region around the Gulf of Fonseca. The area has long been connected to the fishing communities and trade routes that developed along this shared coastline, where El Salvador meets neighboring countries across the water. We will leave the El Cuco area and head for the summit where visitors can clearly see across the gulf into Honduras and Nicaragua, making it one of the few places in the region where three countries are visible from a single viewpoint. The landscape includes coastal plains, offshore islands, and distant volcanic peaks, with wide panoramic views in every direction. After time at the lookout, the tour continues to the port city of La Unión for lunch at Amanecer Marino, known for its fresh seafood and waterfront setting. Overnight tenting is available for guests who wish to stay longer and enjoy the cooler mountain air and nighttime views over the gulf. Awaken to the beautiful sunrise.
